The man who strapped his dog to the top of the car on a family road trip cannot be bothered to tell the truth about his record.
He actually claimed he SAVED the auto industry by advocating a managed bailout!!!! Hilarious. He advocated letting the auto industry sink under the weight of un-supported bankruptcy which probably would have led to its demise.
So add auto industry recovery pseudo-credit to Romney's lengthy list of revisionist claims. Next, he will re-reverse himself and claim HE invented Obama-care as governor of MA.
Cautionary note: If Richard Lugar loses Indiana, we lose one of the last sane Republican voices in the Senate.
It's election time, so keep seeking the lesser of two weevils. . .

Happy defeat of the French day--celebrated with HD simulcast at Seattle Opera. Pedro has a snazzy new haircut, ready for our next chapter, catching some zz's.
New roads beckon.

As many of you know, I am not the sharpest pencil when it comes to techie knowhow. Thanks to several webmasters: Brian (aka 13Dem) who created this site when he was 13, Teresa (aka webmonkey) and Seth, the site was edited, honed and shaped.
After some struggles (why is it learning new stuff is both comical and trying?) and thanks to David of host company and Jennifer N., colleague and budding friend, the site is amended with a little help from me.
Check out her site: The Shakespeare Underground
Newly empowered, I will be monitoring the site for bots, updating content and working on two beta projects that are aimed for summer and fall of 2012. Earlier, if possible.
Twitter account will get more play, as will B) you, the audience who has stood by me through times most excellent and times more challenging.
Keep in touch on FB, and Twitter.
Hooray for transition, here we go!

System keeps bucking me off, so before that happens again. . .
Are you fired up yet? Still laughing at the Primary Tele-Pubbies?
Where do you stand in Election 2012? I am still for Obama and still luxuriating in the Mariner sweep of the Tigers, reluctant for the game to be afoot.
Afoot it is. Where are your shoes?

Children of the Space Age! Should our public dollars join private to fund the exploration of Deep Space?
I know we are "broke" but we are NOT "poor" as a country. We need infrastructure investment, health care, too. . . but the exploration of space will help reinvigorate our scientific achievements that always lead to private development!
Let's put our war dollars to peaceful efforts and SOAR!

I keep hearing the pounding feet of Lisa H. running to alleviate her grief at the death of her warrior husband in Afghanistan: "We can't just walk away from this and forget."
So. Even though I want out and our resources to be devoted to our country; even though I agree with departing Defense Secretary Robert Gates that we are out of our minds if we invade in this region again; even though Osama has been taken out; I believe President Obama (and Vice President Joe Biden's) path to winding down the war is the wisest one.
Please feel free to disagree. I want to hear dissenting views, particularly when this is such an agonizing decision.

President Barack Obama speaks tonight about the withdrawal of troops in Afghanistan. This after the unpopular surge, the end of Osama Bin Laden.
Do we still need to be there? Is a partial withdrawal going to work? Are there good strategic reasons to be there?
Loads of questions but not many answers. I am going to listen and then opine.

Rapturous sun enveloping my friend and I as we herded twin boys (cutest EVER), sons of friends through the Seattle zoo. They jumped in puddles, climbed rocks, and pitched a sippy cup into the Hippo pool! (yes, that is ours. . .)
Taught them how to walk like penguins--works like a charm to slow fast moving feet!
Pedro sends spring greetings. AS do I.
