As a talk show host and journalist, I rarely have had a chance to full on participate in our participatory democracy. So I am excited to attend the Washington State Democratic Party Caucus this Saturday.

This year, it is so close we have to make a choice that counts! I choose to support Sen. Barack Obama because of his enthusiastic movement, because of the chance for a break with the past, for the ability to beat the likely Republican nominee, Sen. John McCain with the votes of independents and liberal Republicans.

Obama's supporters have visited with invitations to the caucus--their passion is wondrous to see. Oddly, even though I am a target demographic, I have received nothing from the campaign for Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton.

I figure if you work to get my vote, you earned it the old-fashioned way.

Please check in about your caucus experience, I want to hear your thoughts. Whomever you choose, VOTE!

Don't get me wrong, either way the Democratic Party wins.

Erin, I am really excited to be able to hear your voice again! I am living in Boston (I can't wait to move back to Seattle) and I just voted for Barack Obama on Super Tuesday. Hillary won Massachusetts, but Barack did win Boston which comforted me a little and gave me more hope that he may be able to win the nomination. I wish that I could participate in the Caucus's this Saturday! It is so much more fun to acutally hear other voters opinions. I hope that Barack can win Washington and make me proud! Enjoy your weekend!

Thanks for your support! I want a radio gig, too! 2008 will bring one.

More coming about the caucus, several listeners and friends sent their views, I will post shortly. Please continue to post--much is happening and we need to "talk" about it.
