I like to bounce, so here is a bouncing guide, suggestions welcome:

For the standard 4 networks: tonight ABC for Stephanapoulos & Charlie & Diane intermittent in Times Square with MSNBC (for Newsweek's Richard Wolffe, Keith Olbermann, Rachel Maddow & especially the WA Post's Eugene Robinson, who is very moving when he talks about history) Pat Buchanan will drive you nuts, but the others can be worth it, even Chris Matthews). I like Chuck Todd for numbers even though I suspect he is a rightie

CNN (for their pundits--Carville, Begala are usually funny, I like their legal guy, Jeffrey Toobin writes for the New Yorker and for David Gergin who has worked for 4 administrations, and Harvard)--Anderson Cooper can get on my nerves, can't really watch Larry unless he has great pundits. CNN has good I-reports from regular folks with cameras, most of their anchors are pretty good, but I prefer MSNBC for longer coverage. (Wolfe is always on, I cannot bear to watch Lou Dobbs.) Very diverse viewpoints represented.

I am also going to watch Comedy Central for Jon Stewart & Stephen Colbert's coverage. if you need a laugh, check out SNL's webpage for videos of their political spoofs which are hilarious.

You can check the scrawls under the ABC or NBC screen for local race information in case there is a hot race you are concerned about.

I tune in to C-Span for rallies or party coverage because they run the full coverage and don't interrupt (which I did last night when talking heads kept interrupting Obama's final speech at Manassas.).

PBS I scan periodically, but normally I am for the faster paced shows.

Electoral-vote.com has the best overall electoral college map I have found. (Both Udalls are winning, Franken needs help).

Politico is the hot new website of choice of political junkies--bunch of seasoned WA Post and PBS reporters and the site usually scoops quite a few people. Check out their article about Key counties to watch, many of them are out West. politico.com

Say a prayer for Tim Russert--his son is covering Indiana for NBC and MSNBC and is quite personable. Luke is 23.

Following morning watch above, AND check out Good Morning America (on ABC), which has been very good at morning TV lately--I got tired of in-fighting on Today and never have had much patience for chatty morning b.s. so I mostly watch the first half hour of show which is usually top of news and political.

Again suggestions welcome!
