Apologies if this is in the wrong area, and I’m sure it’s will have been asked before.

I’m after a little advise. I design and build websites for a living and usually outsource any SEO work. I can provide all of the onsite SEO, but of course that’s just common sense. I’d like to get into to offsite SEO and link building, basically what all these SEO companies are offering. Can anyone advise where I start with this? I create a lot of sites for new businesses and obviously being new sites, they sometimes require a little boost up the search engines. Is there a quick way to do this with out having to register on free directories or post articles and blog posts. Is there anything out there to do this quickly or am I just dreaming?
