Hi, I am trying to post in blog from home office and alas, it works not well. So I shall be blogging this weekend from work so that I can catch you up on my diary and initial thoughts on blogging.

Next weekend, on Aug. 10th we will be going LIVE to a peace camp, operated by Israelis and Palestinians and talk to the participants. Please don't miss it.

This weekend, Aug. 2nd and 3rd: What did the President take responsibility for and did it work? Now that George Tenant, Condy Rice and Bush have copped to those 16 words--do you feel better? And how do you feel about the war effort in Iraq?

It's raining candidates, hallelejah! Soooo, who do you want to be Governor in 2004?

It's the Blue Angels singing above our heads (I love 'em, flew with them and LOVED it) so don't look at me to complain, but you might want to.

Plus Gigli promises to be one of the WORST film of the year so far.
What's on your worst list of bad movies, movie couples? Mine includes Pocket Money which still haunts my youth, ug. And memorable BAD movie lines.

And another deadline another day without a trade? Will the Mariners
make it? Join us to celebrate the dog days of summer.

One fact is certain: you have more questions after a visit to Israel than less. I am gathering so many good sources to bring back to the show. It is 5 a.m. here hard to sleep with so much to think about and do. WE are headed to Yad Vashem and more seminars today. Am checking in with checkpoint monitors, women's peace groups and with the Rev. Mary Jensen on return to SEattle. As well as all the other worthy sources from here, such as AJC director Eran Lerman who gave us such a learned discourse onthe overall picture, I want to listen to it again, before I talk to you about it.

For those of you who also listen to Dave, I had the pleasure of meeting Judy Lash Balint of the Jerusalem Diaries, she is a treasure of information on her city. I am very fortunate to be here and look forward to talking to you all soon! Don't forget from 9 p to 1 a Saturday and Sunday on July 26 & 27. More soon I hope as time permits.

Whew, finally, the blog works.

It's been a hectic and amazing trip; not all stops had email/internet. Today took us from Haifa its gorgeous bay and gardens, to the apple orchards and military bases in the Golan Heights overlooking the border with Syria; to Capernaum and the Mount of the Beatitudes; to the West Bank; the Wilderness and into Jerusalem. We dined at Kibbutz Ein Gev on St. Peter's fish and then proceeded on the road to Jerusalem, hugging the border with Jordan, on a highway dotted by Bedouin and their flocks.

It is an ancient and strange land filled with mystery and so many secrets. The agony of the political conflict affects the region entirely in a myriad of ways. Tomorrow we meet with Palestinian journalists and represenatives as well as make a visit to the Israeli Foreign Ministry. Tonight we explore Jerusalem.

A country not very wide, not very long and very deep to paraphrase a long time resident. More, much more very soon--so much to think about and voices to share when I return. Be well and safe/more soon.
